Catholic Schools Week

At Christ the King, we celebrate Catholic Schools Week by showing our spirit for the school! Each day, students are allowed to wear something other than their school uniform. This year, Catholic Schools Week was celebrated Sunday, January 31 – Saturday, February 6. Here was the line-up of events for the week:

Sunday, January 31 (11:30am – 2:00pm) – OPEN HOUSE: Stop in to see us, meet the teachers, and take a tour!

Monday, February 1 – NO SCHOOL: Teacher’s Retreat

Tuesday, February 2 – COMMUNITY DAY

  • 3rd Grade Invite-a-Friend Day (10:15-10:45am in Cafeteria)
  • All students may wear appropriate sweatpants, jeans, or athletic pants with sweatshirts or t-shirts!

Wednesday, February 3 – FACULTY/STAFF DAY

  • 1st and 2nd Grade Invite-a-Friend Day (1st Grade – 10:15-10:45am in Classrooms, 2nd Grade – 10:15-10:45am in Cafeteria)
  • All students may wear a red, white, and/or blue shirt with crazy socks and uniform pants

Thursday, February 4 – VOCATIONS DAY

  • Pre-K Invite-a-Friend Day (10:15 – 10:45am in Classrooms)
  • All students may wear a jersey with jeans

Friday, February 5 – STUDENT DAY

  • Kindergarten Invite-a-Friend (10:15-10:45am in Cafeteria)
  • Pep Assembly! The teacher who won the “Pie in the Face” contest will get a pie in the face during the assembly
  • All students may wear school appropriate jeans and a CKS shirt or sweatshirt

Saturday, February 6 – LIGHT OF LEARNING MASS

  • All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend 5:00pm mass to celebrate Catholic Education. Our school choir will be singing, and our middle school students will be altar servers, lectors and gift bearers. Please join us on Saturday evening to recognize Ms. Gallagher, the recipient of this year’s award!
